About Us
Old Goats Hard Goods has been the Flathead Valley’s go-to for high-end cabinetry and hardware for over two decades – longer than any other company in the area.
Over the years, we have established long-standing relationships with builders, architects and designers. We pride ourselves on friendly, accessible service that extends well beyond simply ordering and installing your cabinets. Our team acts as a design partner, taking your lifestyle, design aesthetic and functionality into consideration. We’re happy to work alongside your architect, general contractor and interior designer to ensure your custom cabinetry is ideally suited to your lake or mountain home.
We believe investing in the local community is good for everyone. Our entire team lives in the places we work – the Flathead Valley of Montana and Sun Valley, Idaho. Need to pick something up after hours? No problem. We’re close by and always happy to help.
Ultimately, our job is to make you look good. Whether you’re a designer, builder or homeowner, we understand the importance of details.
Meet the Team
-
Joni Petro
owner
Joni’s extensive art experience brings cabinetry projects to life. Originally hailing from Ohio, she has spent time on the East Coast, the West Coast and agrees with John Steinbeck when he says "I’m in love with Montana." Joni understands the unique aspects of mountain life and how design is important, but so is function as she does life with a husband, three girls and two Bernese Mountain Dogs. Joni works with clients to explore new design trends and offers fresh perspectives on more traditional styling. Happy to meet with clients in the office, on site or at a coffee shop, Joni values her role as a design partner and loves bringing ideas to life.

Hunter Grady
project manager
Born and raised in the Smokies of Western North Carolina, Hunter is all about mountain living and southern hospitality. When he's not overseeing cabinetry projects from delivery to finished product, Hunter could be found skiing the Big or exploring a new downhill trail in the summer months. Down days wouldn't be complete without water, a good book, and the company of his lovely wife Kyleigh. With a background in design and management, Hunter is your guy to make those finishing details shine on each and every project.

Ethan Petro
owner
Beginning his career as Assistant (to the) Used Car Manager in a small farming town in Ohio, Ethan loves coaching and leading teams. A true ambivert, Ethan can effortlessly convince people he is an extrovert, but then he needs 2 days alone to recover. Unfortunately not a leading scorer on his 7th grade basketball team, his 3 free throw shots (and only points scored all season) helped him realize that a career in cabinetry was far more probable than signing with the Knicks. With a wife and three daughters, he is the minority in the sorority.

Cody Simpkins
project manager
Born and raised in Newport Beach, CA, Cody spent the first part of his life travelling the world and surfing professionally. A quick look at the stamps in his passport shows visits to South Africa, Japan, Brazil and the Dominican Republic among other countries to compete where he was described as "an absolute animal in the water" (and yes, that's a real quote). Cody then relocated to Northwest Montana and has spent the last 20 years in the cabinetry business in all facets including fine furniture, cabinetry installation and managing commercial cabinetry shops. A fine arts background has trained his eye to make cabinetry projects flow seamlessly together. He enjoys exploring Montana with his wife and two boys and you can find him fly fishing local rivers in his spare time.

Andrew Chiu
project manager
Raised in Southern California, Andrew loves the beach and good ethnic food. He spent a few years as a fireman in Seattle before relocating to Montana. Working in construction the past year, Andrew loves getting to know all the contractors making it happen in a growing town. When he isn’t problem solving on a job site, Andrew is making a huge mess in the kitchen and playing sports with his wife and friends.
